Being involved in the community is what Codey Powell — seventeen year old, Ozark High School student — achieves for. Codey feels that he has fulfilled his accomplishment by being apart of many community organizations, these include FFA, 4-H, Christian County 4-H Leaders Council, Christian County Fairboard and The University of Missouri Christian County Extension Council. All of these has shaped him into the citizen that he is today. Codey serves a role on each council or board. Just one example is the University of Missouri Christian County Extension Council, he is the youth representative for the county. Codey works directly with the youth and describes to the council what they can do to better the community in favor of the counties youth. Codey finds joy, for what he is doing is making a good impact on his community. Along with being involved with his community, he enjoys working with children, being outside, and fly fishing. His is graduating high school in May 2017 and attending Murray State University the following August. In college, he will be studying Agriculture Education; furthermore, he will become a 4-H educator in Missouri shortly after graduating college.
