The National Convention Kindness Example

As all FFA members know, October 25th kicked off the 90th FFA Convention. Something every FFA member looks forward to every year. Everyone who went attended workshops to build their leadership skills and improve their chapters, visited the expo to see sponsors, and of course, visited the FFA MegaStore. One FFA Chapter from Kansas stands out from the rest when they decided to show their leadership skills. The leadership skill they possessed most at this point was humility and generosity. The humility from having the mother come ask them to quiet down. This gave them the opportunity to set an example of how to react to something like this. Most schools would have seemed vengeful and gotten louder, but Eureka FFA made the right call. They showed kindness and generosity to the family. They set the right example for FFA members. Here is the story and take notes.

It all started when they were being a little too loud in the hallway, a family of 5 was staying on the same floor. The boys kept the children awake with their loudness and when the mother, Randi Jo Amt, spotted the door open to their room to have a little word with them. She explained the to the boys her situation and they decided to not only show her compassion but also helped her and the family out by giving them money. This very generous gesture really not only gives the Eureka FFA a wonderful name but also a good name to all FFA members nationwide. So as a fellow FFA member, I would like to thank the Eureka FFA for their wonderful leadership and giving a good name to the FFA. Screenshot 2017-10-28 at 8.46.56 PM
